The school my students attend is situated in an urban neighborhood. I have 26 students in my classroom this year. I have five students who are part of an Individualized Education Program. The remaining 21 students are performing well below grade level. Despite their academic struggles, my students have the drive to catch up with the rest of the third grade. I teach a majority of my day in small group workshop because my students need as much individualized instruction as possible. My students need a VersaTiles Language Arts Lab for a differentiated approach to learning. The resource I am requesting would provide a workshop station that students interact with kinesthetically to promote self-monitoring and independence. VersaTiles provides me with the flexibility to work with individual students or small groups.
