My students need technological resources to help close learning gaps while at the same time acquiring English language proficiency. I teach 5 ESL classes (Gr.6-8), to English Language Learners, half of whom have been identified as also having some learning disability. Performing far below grade level standards, reading is a huge challenge for them. They all scored level 1 in the NYS ELA test. These results are replicated in all of their other subjects, because they are in the process of acquiring the language. My goal is to enhance academic performance because I believe that given the necessary tools, all students can learn.
