TeWinkle Middle School is rich in diversity, and is a Title I school. Currently 75% of the students are Hispanic, 24% are white, and 1% are of a variety of other races. English learners make up about 30% of the school's population. About 60% of the students do not have computers. My 7th grade World History Class is full of enthusiastic students! The majority of students do not have a computer at home which makes projects in World History difficult to tackle since they have to come to early or stay late after school to use the lab. With all of the exciting opportunities that the students could be learning in World History, it makes sense that they can work in groups to research exciting findings on their Google Chromebooks. By having these resources, makes the class more interactive and exciting which promotes learning. Please donate anything you can to help benefit our students!
