Teachers will track measurable data and create interactive lessons that target specific groups for instruction. While federal privacy laws prevent us from knowing specifically which of our students make up our Economically Disadvantaged Subgroup, we will target students who scored a level 1 or 2 on their previous year STAAR in reading for this initiative. Because only 74.2% of our Economically Disadvantaged students passed the STAAR in Reading, compared to 90.7% of our white students, we feel targeting low achieving students will capture much of this subgroup.
