I am a first year teacher in an area of higher need. I was hired five days before the beginning of the school year. My school district had plans to order supplies for my classroom including books and toys for the children to play with. Due to budget cuts, I received some of the items purchased b ut not all of them. My children have some plastic food items to play with but no kitchen to use them in!
