My students range in age from 5 to 11, grades kindergarten to fifth grade. Like most children they are full of energy, and my subject, Physical Education, is often listed as their favorite subject at school. A few skills that my kindergarten students begin learning are locomotor skills, jump rope, dribbling, passing, throwing, dancing, and sportsmanship. By the time they are in fifth grade they use the core physical education skills that they have learned to participate in nontraditional games such as Snowball, Steal the Gold, Continuous Flag Pull, Soccer Golf and advanced dance routines.
