The students at this school are diverse, coming from many different cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. We are a Title I school and many of the students here do not have access to technology. They are excited and anxious to learn, but do not have the help from an English-speaking parent who can read to them at night. My students need 2 laptops. We only have one very old computer in our room and the addition of these 2 new computers will provide rich literature for them to access each and every day. My classroom would give them the opportunity to expand their reading as well as give them exposure to technology daily. My dream is to have at least 4 laptops in my room to allow the kids to listen to reading, write stories, create science projects, and carry out research. My dream is that if I do get the 5 or 6 computers some day, this will help my students have an equal access to learning.
