I am a teacher that wants her students not only to read about life, but to experience it vicariously through the eyes of a wiser, seasoned elder. I teach English 10 in a sub-rural Pennsylvania high school of approximately 600 students. Our school community is diverse--a blend of spacious farms, neighborhood homes, and dense row houses. Our school has been lucky enough to be the recipient of a "Classrooms For the Future" grant, and all core classrooms have at their disposal a cart of laptops with multimedia programs installed, and digital video recorders.
