What if you could be in a writing class where everyone could see what the teacher wanted? What if everyone in the class could see your excellent writing instead of only the teacher? I work at a school where almost all of our students struggle with writing. Whether we are asking them to write creatively or write essays, our students struggle with how to construct engaging sentences, write expressive paragraphs, and effectively outline their ideas. Our students range in age from 14-19. While most of our students are Caucasian, we have a large number who are Native American and come to our school from almost 90 miles out of town. Many of our students do not speak English as a native language, and even those that do can benefit from seeing examples of the types of writing that I want from them.
