Music and technology in the world today are without a doubt intertwined. It has been that way since music was produced electronically. However, since the birth of computers and internet, the union of the two has definitely solidified and entered unmarked territory. As an elementary band and music teacher, I currently have no computer in my classroom and feel it could be an asset for my students. With so many musical programs, online sites, sites to stream music and more, I could utilize those to benefit all of my students. As a fairly new teacher, I am truly interested in intertwining technology and music lessons for my students. At this time however, with no computer in my classroom, it is not possible. We have 550 students. I currently work with the Pre K through 3rd grade students with music weekly. I also teach tonet lessons to our fourth graders and in 5th grade, I teach elementary band.
