As a veteran teacher, I have seen changes in how our schools manage with classroom computer set ups. Our children are now tech savvy by the time they enter school. In Pre K, they are exposed to computer centers daily at our school. By the time they enter 2nd grade, they have pretty much mastered the use of a computer. We all use computer centers at our school daily. When one goes out or crashes, it affects the system we have in place. Recently, I had one that crashed and was not replaced. We could use it to get our technology center back in sync. Our Pre K-5th grade school is one of the elementary schools in our area. We have almost 550 students here! I am a second grade teacher who has taught other grade levels in the past before settling in elementary. Our teachers and staff engage our students in powerful ways and our students do enjoy the learning environment. The children also embrace technology at our school.
