I have 21 students and the majority of them come from low-income families. Most of my students' parents are supportive but they just don't have the financial means to supply their children with technology. Approximately 80 % of my students receive free lunch. My students love anything technology related and would jump at the opportunity to utilize technology daily in our learning environment. My school has approximately 400 students and we are a Title I school. Our parents are very supportive and our PTO tries to support our students financially by helping pay for field trips and classroom supplies but their budget is limited and is not large enough to pay for a class set of iPads. My goal is to have an iPad for each student to use but I am starting out with a small goal in the hopes that we will achieve this one quickly so my students can start utilizing the many educational apps that are offered.
