I currently teach K-3 Primary Special Education in the Chicago Public School system. At this time there are 30 to 40 students that come into my classroom for instruction in reading and math in a small group setting; including students with special needs as well as English Language Learners. 93% of our school is considered low-income and receives free or reduced lunch. The student body consists of 65% Latino, 30% African American, and 5% Caucasian.
