I am a bilingual third grade math and science teacher in Texas for 33 students. All my students come from different countries, all have different home environments and everyday is a challenge. Starting by trying to express themselves by learning a second language that is English. Math is giving them a sense of ownership because it is a common language. Numbers will be numbers no matter the country.
