I am on a middle school campus teaching 11-14 year-old. These students are from diverse backgrounds with a large portion of our student population on free or reduce lunch. A large portion of our student population is over-weight. Our State of Louisiana ranks very high in the amount of over-weight adults that live in our region. I believe that if we get involve educating our young people about proper nutrition an exercise we shed light on an issue that seems to get swept under the rug.

About my class
