Our Title I middle school is part of a very culturally diverse school district in Texas. All of my students are English Language Learners who come from many different parts of the world. Some have only been in the country a few days. While most are very anxious to learn, they need as many tools as they can to develop both the social and academic language necessary to perform well in school. Hands-on materials go a long way to help make concepts and vocabulary more relevant to any student, but it is especially the case for those who are language learners.

About my class
