Our school is located in a low social economic area. Many of the students are on free and reduce lunch. Since most students do not have access to the Internet at home, they cannot relate to using technology tools at school. My students are loving and eager to learn. They love to be engaged with the use of hands on activities. My students would benefit from technology. Right now, I only have 3 computers and they are very old and slow. Last year, only two worked. We got our SMART board installed last year and I saw a big difference with my students' interest in the lessons when using it. The SMART board has opened a completely new world of many new and exciting technology tools for my students. Now that we had experience the impact of technology tools, I can only hope that our classroom will be adopted this year to help add to their amazing experience with learning and technology.
