I teach preschool in a TItle 1 school with 85% of children on free lunch. They are preschoolers who are coming from homes that did not properly get them ready for school. My job is to catch them up and make sure they are on track for kindergarten. I have 20 students. Their language is under-developed. These building materials will foster language development when students are engaged. The blocks will increase communication skills and boost comprehension and vocabulary skills. I am seeking funds for blocks (large and small blocks), magnetic building materials, and brick people characters. These materials are high-quality and last for many years to come. They are perfect for small hands which will advance fine motor skills. They will build essential life skills, starting with self-expression, language development, numeracy, and early science exploration. This will prepare them for a brighter future. Their future begins in preschool. We will build a strong foundation for these children.
