I am a teacher who enjoys using technology in my classroom. However for obvious reasons, additional technology money is not always in the budget of school systems. I have had computers crash on me in the past year. At this time, I have been using a personal laptop that is also on its last legs and will crash soon. So, the purchase of a new computer would be beneficial for my Kindergarten students. With a new computer, my students could engage in rich technology lessons. The Internet offers a variety of free online activities for our students. I know having a new computer would help them continue to participate in productive and effective technology online programs. With a student camera, we could work on productive digital lessons combining the camera and computer as well. I teach twenty one Kindergarten students. With the new Common Core implemented, our teachers and students are all trying our best to move forward.
