Our class thoroughly enjoys literacy. They enjoy reading and listening to reading. They love to listen to reading and learn new and interesting words as well as learn strategies to become better readers. They get excited to learn a new reading strategy such as for comprehension or expanding vocabulary. They have enjoyed learning about the three genres (opinion, informative, and narrative) of writing within our standards, and they are joyful to engage in writing. Thesauruses are a very useful tool in expanding vocabulary and improving writing with better word choice.
