I have 26 eager second graders with big personalities. My students have a challenging and difficult home life. The school is a Title I school that has over 90% of the population on free or reduced lunches. The school is a public school in an urban community. Recently the school district suffered a deficit and all of it's schools suffered a financial loss including loss of vital staff members and lack of school supplies. School is the safest place for some of my students and a place where they can feel at ease and not worry about things going on in their lives. I at least want to expose my students to the basic forms of technology for them to be prepared in the real world. I also want to fully implement the Common Core Curriculum whose main focus is on technology, reading rich texts and writing.
