My school is a non-Title 1 school with over 50% of the student population on free and reduced lunches (and whole-school free breakfasts - which they don't get at home). Some of my students have never held a pencil before kindergarten and many of them cannot cut with scissors. Many have not been exposed to learning prior to their joining us this August. They are eager to come to school each day and look forward to what we are learning. I want to make the best use of their budding interest in everything around them and give them the most experiences possible in our school year.
