I teach 7th grade math to students who haven't had much success in the past. We are a 7/8 school so it's my students' first experience with having 6 different teachers so many of them struggle to get situated in the first few months of school. The students I teach come from a variety of backgrounds, some of them have very supportive and involved families while others have parents who work multiple jobs so my students are responsible for taking care of younger siblings when they get home from school. Overall my students aren't very confident in their math abilities so I strive to improve their confidence throughout the year.
