I work in an elementary school that is over 94% socioeconomically challenged in Solano County. I have 30 smart, quirky, confident, kind-hearted, and hard working second graders. Over half of my students are English Learners. My school is a positive place for student engagement and learning. We work hard with what we are given and I have infused every penny I can to enrich my students' education. Unfortunately, it's just not enough. I have a print in my room that says "Defeat is not the worst of failures. Not to have tried is the true failure," by George Edward Woodberry.
