My students absolutely love reading at home and at school. Second graders rock! The magnet program that I teach in is a school within a school. This program builds student leadership through government, economics, and service learning. To help foster our curriculum, we participate in a Market Day where students create products and sell them to others in hopes to receive a profit. The students are taught to divide their profit and/or earnings into thirds. The 3 parts are: save, share, and donate to charity. As you may know, this is a life skill.
