I am a special education teacher working in a public high school in Pennsylvania with students with severe multiple learning differences. With dramatic statewide cuts in school funding there are no opportunities to provide them with a more functional computer. While their chronological ages range from 16-20, they are functioning at pre-k to kindergarten levels academically. All have communication difficulties and half are non-ambulatory. In spite of the obstacles they deal with as part of their daily existence, they have good hearts and come to school smiling. They are entranced with the limited resources our class computer can offer them, but I know there are a wealth of resources they could avail themselves to with the right technology.
