My second grade students are ages 7 and 8. Most of the students were born and raised in Alaska, with a few moving up from the Lower 48. I have an equal number of boys and girls in my class and their educational abilities vary greatly. My class contains very high achieving students as well as students who struggle to meet the very basic tasks of our day to day assignments. My students attend a mid to low income level school that sits right in the middle of two towns. My students love to be active and are very energetic!
