My students are all labeled as diverse learners as I am a special education teacher within Chicago Public Schools. My students are in grades kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade. They come in and out of the special education classroom depending on their individual needs. My students attend a school within Chicago that is about 90% low incomes. They love coming into my classroom and love using the one iPad and two computers that we have. Having another iPad would allow the students to independently work on reading, spelling, addition, shape recognition, and so much more. My students are always engaged when working with technology and it allows them to take ownership for their learning.
