I work at a Title One school. My students are in a Structured Learning Classroom (SLC). All of my students receive free lunch. I have students that are Autistic and/or Intellectually Disabled. Having special needs is a challenge but having an interactive learning environment will give my students the opportunity to enhance their learning abilities. Over 75 percent of my students are non-verbal students and using hands-on materials allow them to utilize their strengths. My goal is to teach my students how to enhance learning with real world experiences everyday.
