Students will be able to read both non-fiction and fiction pieces that are not only current, but also enticing. By senior year, many students have given up on the idea of loving to read and I want to bring back the idea that reading is a way for you to escape from the overwhelming world. Many seniors are overwhelmed with deadlines, such as college applications and scholarships. By taking time during the day to escape from the anxiety, students will be able to have the chance to escape this pressure. With the classroom library, my students will be more likely to take the time to read during the school day. I will integrate time to read during the class period, several times a week.

About my class
