The kids at my school come from a very rural community where employment is hard to find, making many of our kids grow up with economic challenges. Kids often tell me they don't have books to read at home, and we all know that reading takes practice. The older the kids get, the harder they struggle with reading and the harder it is to get them to find reading exciting. These books will do just that.
