I teach some pretty fanCACTUS firsties here in Washington state. We STICK together in our classroom as we know that any journey can bring various challenges and celebrations. In our classroom, we begin early on understanding that we all grow at different rates with differing needs yet we all are important, powerful and beautiful in our own ways. It is very important to me that ALL students in my classroom are included, safe and know that they are loved and believed in as they take risks, ask questions, problem solve, learn and have fun. Our classroom is our home away from home and our classmates are our friends and sometimes even considered our little family. ALL are welcome, all are cared and provided for and all are valued.
