The students of my classroom are mainly from families with low socioeconomic status. We have many children that don't have the opportunity to spend time at home reading and learning. Many of my students are below grade level, and we are part of a Title 1 school. Our funding is tight, especially our classroom budget. We want to purchase many things for our students, but classroom supplies are expensive. We have a need for a lot of basic school supplies: crayons, glue sticks, paper products, art supplies, organization tools, etc. We would love to have NEW materials (crayons with sharp points!) to be able to use throughout the school year. With budgets being cut, more than ever we are in need.
