First grade is really an amazing time. Each day I am greeted by thirty joyous faces who come into my room ready for the next adventure in reading or math. We work hard, and we are constantly focused on the ways in which that hard work will pay off in the future. My first graders are some of the toughest people I know, and their willingness to give 100% each day gives me hope for my community's future. Your contributions will help my small friends enjoy the classroom resources they deserve, and it will ensure that East Palo Alto thrives as the bright and just place we know it can be.
