My students are awesome! They are smart, curious, ambitious, creative, caring, crazy, hormonal, critical, and squirrel-y, like so many teenagers. Unfortunately, they aren't provided with the environment or opportunities that so many other teenagers their age have. They are starting to resign themselves to the "ratchet" (read: old and busted) facilities and materials that our school is able to supply and are in danger of actually believing the stereotypes that people have about kids who grow up in diverse, low-income, high-needs areas like ours.

About my class
