Our school district is in a small semi rural community. Our school is considered to be the "home" school in the district because it is located in our town while the other schools are located outside of town. My students came from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Many have never had the opportunity to travel outside of our community. I have students who have never seen a highway or skyscrapers let alone a two story building. Our school is AWESOME! We are a group of individuals who love our kids, they are our kids! We have always achieved academic acceptance levels and are always striving to become better each year. This last year we received several academic distinctions that were earned by our whole staff not just the teachers. I can safely use the famous saying, "it takes a village to raise a child" to describe our staff. All of us are in it for the kids and want each and everyone one of them to be successful in our community!
