The students entering my 3rd grade classroom are inquisitive, creative, and voracious learners. I had the privileged of being their 2nd grade teacher and will be looping with them into 3rd grade for the 2017-2018 school year. I have varied levels of readers in this class. My struggle is to provide them reading material for their varied interest and abilities. They are little sponges and want to explore all areas of math, science, and social studies often beyond grade level expectations. My students love to read a variety of texts and are crazy about research. Access to current events, engaging topics, and relevant subject material that they can keep will support and enhance their varied interests, and allow them to share with their families.
