My students are amazing and range in communication ability from non-verbal to limited verbal language. They thrive on structure and need a consistent routine to be successful in the classroom setting. Communication is essential to their development and is the cause of much frustration for them. They struggle to maintain focus on a typical learning task and need adaptations to the curriculum to demonstrate their ability. The use of pictures and visual choice boards have shown to be very successful with them. They have a desire to learn and express themselves. However, they need access to technology that will allow them to show everyone how amazing they are.

About my class
