My students come from homes that have low income according to the over 80% free and reduced lunch applications. Many of them have used their parents' touchscreen smart phones, but they do not have technology of their own to use in class. We have a bring your own device network system in our district. The number of middle school students who are able to utilize this feature is very low. I have very few students that own an iPad or iPhone that they can use for math class. I would like to offer them two of the latest iPad minis for use in a center.
