Hyperactive behavior is not a choice! As a special education teacher, many of the students I teach tussle with their inability to self-control their hyperactive behaviors, therefore negatively impacting their academics. These are the students that frequently squirm in their seats, jiggle their feet, and tap their pencils throughout lessons. Although they are motivated to learn, they cannot control their inattention. As a teacher in a Title l school, our students are limited to the amount of physical education they receive weekly. For students like mine, 45 minutes of physical activity once a week is not enough to relieve their excess energy. As their teacher, I feel it is my obligation to provide my students with an appropriate outlet to help control these behaviors. That is where Kore Wobble Chairs come in! These chairs are designed to help students that struggle with overactive behaviors by allowing them to engage in rhythmic movement, while remaining in their seats!
