I have 12 special education students in 4th, 5th and 6th grades. They have a wide range in ability and disability. They all achieve much more with hands-on activities and technology. We are in a brand new, 1st year, elementary school with caring and supporting staff and administration. These students are included in everything throughout the school and are cared for by everyone. The higher functioning students help out as role models for the lower functioning, non-verbal students. They all look out for each other, which is wonderful to see.
