I teach in a high poverty school. Our district has had to make cuts the last couple years and there is many more to come. Getting supplies for the classroom is so difficult when programs such as art are being cut and the numbers in your classroom is growing as teaching positions are not filled. We have implemented small guided reading groups in our classrooms so that we can pay attention to each young reader and that all can read at their own level to gain confidence and skill. Our room is all about team work and we know that we all work together. I'm just the quarterback that passes the ball they are the ones that run with it!
