My students mostly come from very disadvantaged backgrounds, but they come to the charter school where I teach because they have a strong will to succeed. They are good kids who have a lot of stress in their lives both in and out of school. I am proud of them because they have stepped out of their comfort zone and into the world of yoga. Through breathing and meditation techniques, these wonderful children are learning new ways of being towards themselves, towards others and toward the community.

About my class
