iPads and many available apps in the gym open a whole new world for Physical Education. These devices will allow students to participate in high movement, high engagement activities using the technology kids today are so familiar with. iPads and their apps allow instant activities for kids as they arrive in the gym, scan QR codes connected to highly active games, video skills for instant skill feedback and teacher/peer evaluation. The apps connect technology to fitness to help provide station skill work, timers and tabata workouts, and students can see their heart rates instantly! I can easily connect iPads to project throwing and kicking targets, timers for games and for students to view appropriate skill technique when teaching. The ideas are endless and bring physical education into today's world.
