My 8th grade students currently only have access to technology in a shared school computer lab. Having access to technology in the classroom will allow me to incorporate Google Classroom, Google docs, Google slides, Achieve 300, Kurzweil 3000 and many other learning experiences into my lessons, allowing students to develop research, writing, typing and computer literacy skills. In addition to these skills, these laptops will provide the opportunity for differentiated instruction when they are able to practice skills that we have learned in class. The computers will also allow me to create interactive, individual and collaborative hands-on lessons that students in this age group require. Technology in my classroom will allow me to provide my students with a well-rounded education that is required in order to be a productive member of the technology driven modern world.
