My students here in Alaska are generally very active in outdoors activities. Students want to apply their learning to their communities and the world around them. At this K-12 school, high school students are leaders and examples for the younger students in the rooms next door. It's a small school and everyone knows everyone else, so we generally don't have discipline problems, but sometimes things break or get lost.
