It can be very frustrating during class to reference a periodic table that is missing several elements from period 7. When discussing the elements and the compounds they form, I want my students to have access to the latest information. I want them to understand the complete story that the periodic table tells about the elements. It is important for my students to understand that chemistry is alive and new discoveries are being made constantly. I want them to see what Mendeleev started so many years ago is still growing today, and I want them to make predictions about how it may grow in the future!
