My students are kindergarteners and are all military dependents. Many of them have already traveled to several different locations in their young lives and live away from extended family support. They come from all walks of life with different ethnic backgrounds, languages and cultures among them. They are all eager to learn and I love bringing them new experiences. I am the first teacher for many of my students. My job, along with teaching the standards, is to instill a love of learning and discovery. We come together in my classroom and build a community of learning with many experiences for their first year of school!
