Our students are culturally diverse where multiple languages are spoken. We are a Title 1 school where students receive free breakfast and lunch. I teach a character education program to all K-5 students. I have designed and set up a program for all 526 students. Each month students will be taught a character trait during a school assembly. The next week they will work with their classroom teacher on a lesson around the character trait. The 3rd week will be spent having kids with their "family" group. This group is multi-grade level. The final week of the month will be spent celebrating the months success. Literature is a way for students to hear stories, relate to them and be able to see examples of the character traits being taught. Please help to support this school to build community.
