My students are mostly junior high students. Some love to read, some don't. I want to foster that love in all of them by allowing them to delve deeper into the subjects we discuss. Due to being a high-poverty district, we do not have the funding to provide the technology necessary to equip our students for today's society. My students are denied the opportunities afforded to so many others because of the area in which we live. Despite our lack of resources, the majority of students in our district tend to be high-achievers who score high on state and national tests and go on to be successful in college.
